Photos from my time back in Sydney—with all my immediate family eventually—in July and August 2008, in anticipation of Thomas’ and Mary’s wedding on 16th August. This gallery includes photos from around Sydney, of events before the wedding, and a few from the wedding-day itself.
Sydney, looking over North and South Heads from the Pacific (in the east) towards the city. When surveying the east coast of Australia, Captain Cook initially dismissed what would later become Port Jackson/Sydney Harbour: he couldn’t see over the rock of the heads and dismissed it as merely a rocky cove.
Before Thomas’ wedding the men of the family were invited to go to HARS for the day when Mary held her Kitchen Tea for the ladies. The day included a flight on the Super Constellation.
