Richard Flynn > The three statues above the door of the Los Angeles Superior Court: representing Mosaic Law, Magna Carta, and the Declaration of Independence. It feels slightly un-American to me—even if it is of course justified—that they should put such importance on both the Mosaic law (since the Constitution provides for independence of religion) and on the Magna Carta.
