1959 saw the establishment of Alaska, and later Hawaii, as full-fledged states in the U.S.A. In the same year the Catholic primary school of Our Lady of Lourdes in Witney was founded. On 3rd July there was a Mass and party in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the school’s establishment.
