Richard Flynn > The Amtrak train which took me from Toronto to Niagara Falls, crosses the Niagara river to enter the USA at Niagara Falls, New York.

(This is the last photo I was able to take before my camera died.)
Richard Flynn > People loading furniture on to the train at Thompson, in northern central Manitoba. The train is on the Hudson’s Bay Railway travelling to Churchill, and it was only when we stopped at Thompson that anyone other than me and an American couple were let on (we had come from The Pas, further south-west). Most of the people who got on at Thompsons got off again at aboriginal villages and settlements along the route before we arrived eventually at Churchill.
Richard Flynn > Watering the train: a Via Rail employee at Jasper washes the windows on one of the panoramic domes of the train (the Canadian) I took from Vancouver to Edmonton, and which would continue on to Toronto. In the distance you can see some of the Canadian Rockies.
Richard Flynn > A Canadian National steam engine on display outside the railway station at Jasper, which I saw during the hour-long stop there on my way from Vancouver to Edmonton.
Richard Flynn > The Mt McKinley massif, about 120 miles from the peak.
Richard Flynn > Tourists on my train in the (covered) open platform at the back of the upper level of our carriage, taking advantage of the (somewhat extraordinary) clear weather allowing us to see the peak of Mt McKinley from the train.
Richard Flynn > Mount McKinley disappears behind my train as we travel south.
Richard Flynn > Waitresses on the Denali Star train which I took south from Denali Park to Anchorage lean out to greet their colleagues on the north-bound train. For some reason this is possibly my favourite photo from Alaska.
