Temple of the city god • The front of the Temple of the city god, Tainan. It really is those colours: this photo looks as if the colours have been filled in in Photoshop, but I can assure you nothing of the sort has taken place! If the roof looks a bit like a painting, that's because it is a painting—the front of the temple is enclosed by a wooden hoarding.
