Mont Vully, Saturday, 3rd November 2007
Vineyards • Vines at the base of Mont Vully.
An example of When Bad Things Happen To Good Panoramas: this photograph is formed from three separate frames stitched together; however, I didn’t lock the exposure correctly and so the exposure changed for the third (right-most) frame. Hence the slight aberration of colour in the sky from left to right.AutumnFarmGrassPanoramaPhotostitch PanoramaTreesVinerhjf200711039331merged
Lac de Morat • Looking towards the Lac de Morat (Murtensee) from the top of Mont Vully; on the other side of the Lake is the town of Murten (Morat in French), formally the first German-speaking town as you move east through Switzerland.

Mont Vully • Mists and the late-afternoon sun at the summit of Mont Vully.
Five different exposures blended together and then tone-mapped in Photomatix Pro. This was a difficult photo to tone-map, not least because my most under-exposed photo still had blown highlights from the sun. There were a number of interesting interpretations of the HDR, but this is the one I’m sticking with for now.AutumnGrassHDR multipleexposureHillLac de MoratLakeMistMurtenseeTreesrhjf200711039386hdr
Sunset on Mont Vully • The sun was setting behind the summit of Mont Vully as we descended back to Sugiez for our return train to Fribourg and Geneva.
Five different exposures blended together and then tone-mapped in Photomatix Pro. This time I was lacking some detail in my shadows!AutumnGrassHDR multipleexposureSunsetTreesrhjf200711039405hdr
